Tartans Win Paul Short Invitational Brown Race

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team, ranked 13th in Division III, won the brown race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Friday in a field of 45 teams. The field for the 8k race was comprised of runners from Division I, II and III.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team, ranked 20th in Division III, placed 22nd overall at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Friday. The women raced against 46 teams in the brown race in a field of Division I, II and III runners.

The eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men’s soccer team continued its undefeated season at home with a 5-2 victory against Juniata College on Wednesday, September 28.  The Tartans are now 8-0-1 for the season while the Eagles move to 6-4.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team completed play at the Gate City Invitational on Tuesday. The 54-hole event was played at Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Tartans carded a 289 in the final round to place sixth in a field of 17 teams with an 872 (292-291-289).

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened its season on Monday at the Gate City Invitational which is being played at Starmount Forest Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. Following 36 holes of the 54-hole event, the Tartans are tied for sixth after carding rounds of 292 and 291 for a 583 on Monday.

Legg Named UAA Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week

Senior defender Rachel Legg was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week after leading the eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team to a pair of home shutouts last week. The honor is the first of the year for Legg and the Tartans.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 36-hole Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. The Tartans fired a team score of 297 for the second round to finish fifth with a 36-hole score of 598 (301-297).
