(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team will host Geneva College on Saturday, September 28 on Homecoming at Gesling Stadium. The game is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
Carnegie Mellon and Geneva will meet for the 22nd time Saturday afternoon with the Tartans leading the all-time series 12-8-1. The series reunites for the first time since 1990 when the Tartans defeated the Golden Tornadoes 17-14. The first ever meeting between the two schools was in 1907, a game which was won by Geneva 6-0. The shutout also was the first of six straight in the series and 11 total with the Tartans holding the edge with seven.
Carnegie Mellon will enter the contest with a 1-2 mark after dropping a 19-7 decision at Catholic last Friday. Geneva comes to Pittsburgh with a record of 3-0 after playing its third straight home contest to open the season last week and defeated Thiel 49-28.
