(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team begins a midseason three-game road trip Saturday, October 5 with a trip to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to play the Bearcats of Saint Vincent College.  Kick is set for 1:00 p.m. on the turf of Chuck Noll Field.

The Tartans will enter Saturday's contest coming off a thrilling 41-34 double-overtime victory over Geneva College September 28.  The win evened the Tartans' record at 2-2.  The overtime contest was the 11th in program history.  Carnegie Mellon had lost three straight extra frame games before winning Saturday to improve its record to 6-5 in overtime. Saint Vincent will bring a 0-3 mark to the gridiron Saturday after dropping a 28-21 decision to Westminster College Saturday.

When the Tartans and Bearcats meet Saturday it will be the first time since 1962, which was the last year of Bearcats football for 45 years.  This marks the first meeting between the schools since Saint Vincent reunited its program in 2007.  Saint Vincent holds the all-time series record at 4-3-1.  The series first started in 1953 with a 13-7 Tartan victory.
