(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University football team returns home on Saturday, October 18 to play long-time rival Grove City College.  Saturday's game between the Tartans and Wolverines will mark the 56th meeting between the two schools.

Carnegie Mellon leads the series 34-19-2, but dropped a 28-10 decision last season at Grove City to start the season.  The Tartans have squared off against the Wolverines more times than any other team except for Washington & Jefferson College. Prior to last season's setback, the Tartans had won four straight in the series. The first meeting between the two teams dates back to 1908 when then Carnegie Tech defeated Grove City by the score of 6-4.

The Tartans will enter the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest with a 2-3 record overall and in PAC play.  The Wolverines will travel to Pittsburgh looking for their first win of the season, as they are 0-5 overall and 0-3 in conference play.  Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on the gridiron of Gesling Stadium.
