(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will open its 2015 home and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) schedule, on Saturday, September 19, when No. 14 Washington & Jefferson College travels to Pittsburgh for a 1:00 p.m. kick.  The Tartans will enter the contest with a 0-1 mark while W&J holds a record of 2-0.

Saturday's contest will mark the 65th time the two teams will meet on the gridiron.  Last season marked the first meeting between the two in 25 years, as W&J prevailed 48-30 in Washington. Carnegie Mellon holds the all-time series record at 32-27-5.

Carnegie Mellon enters the game following an off week after dropping a 45-24 decision at Washington University in St. Louis in week one.  The Tartans will look to break their skid of eight straight loses following an idle week, as their last win came in 2006. The Cardinal and Gray will also seek their first win over a ranked opponent since D3football.com started a top 25 poll in 2003.

Washington & Jefferson is coming into the game following a 35-31 come-from-behind victory over Westminster College this past Saturday.  The Presidents enter the contest with the nation's top ranked scoring running back in Ryan Ruffing.  Through the first two games, Ruffing has rushed for six touchdowns, as the Presidents are averaging 45.5 points per game which ranks 26th nationally.
