(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University football team will play its first road contest of the season Saturday, September 24 when the Tartans travel to Crestview Hills, Kentucky to play the 18th-ranked Saints of Thomas More College. Kick is set for 12:00 p.m. on the turf of BB&T Field on the campus of Thomas More.
Saturday will mark the third meeting between the two schools, as the series is tied at 1-1 with each winning on its home turf. In 1998, Carnegie Mellon won, 30-23, in Pittsburgh before Thomas More won the following year in Crestview Hills, 22-7.
Both teams are 1-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play entering the game Saturday. Carnegie Mellon will bring a 1-1 overall mark to Crestview Hills after evening its record last Saturday with a 35-23 win over Waynesburg University. Thomas More defeated Washington & Jefferson College, 35-9, Saturday to improve to 2-1 overall.
