Hughes and Jaeb Garner Weekly PAC Football Honors

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Sophomore Kris Hughes (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) and freshman punter Casey Jaeb (San Jose, Calif./Bellarmine Prep) were honored by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) for the their play in the Tartans' 49-14 victory at Saint Vincent Col-lege Saturday. Hughes was recognized on the offensive side of the ball while Jaeb received his second straight Rookie of the Week accolade.

Hughes turned in a career outing on Saturday with highs of five catches, 120 yards and four touchdowns. His four touchdown receptions tied a single-game school record and ranks tied for second in the PAC all-time.

Jaeb continued his terrific special teams play for the Tartans in the win at Saint Vincent. He aver-aged 36.8 yards on eight punts and placed four inside Saint Vincent's 20-yard line with a long of 51 yards. Jaeb has dropped eight of his 25 punts this season inside the opponent's 20-yard line.

The Tartans will remain on the road to play Grove City College on Saturday, October 5. Kick is set for 2:00 p.m. at Robert E. Thorn Field.
