Brian Khoury, 2017 Graduate, Drafted by DC Defenders of the XFL

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Carnegie Mellon University 2017 graduate Brian Khoury has been selected by the DC Defenders of the XFL. Khoury was selected as a defensive end in the second round of the open phase of the XFL Draft.

"Brian was an incredible football player for us," said Carnegie Mellon head coach Rich Lackner. "He was a dominant defensive end for us and will go down as one of our best defensive linemen in school history."

Khoury finished his senior season at Carnegie Mellon as an All-South Region third team selection by D3football.com, a first team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) selection, University Athletic Association (UAA) Defensive Player of the Year and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South First Team member. He led the PAC and UAA while ranking fifth nationally with 12.5 sacks. Khoury became the school's all-time sack leader during his senior season and finished his career with 29.5 sacks. He totaled 16.0 tackles for a loss of 90 yards and ended the season with 55 total tackles, 31 solo, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
