Knight Named to D3football.com Team of the Week; Receives PAC Weekly Defensive Honors

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Sean Knight (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan) was recognized nationally on the D3football.com Team of the Week and also was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week. Knight garners the honors following his play Saturday in the Tartans' 24-21 win over previously undefeated and 20th-ranked Case Western Reserve University in the 34th Annual Academic Bowl on Saturday.

Knight recorded two interceptions while returning one 37 yards for his first career touchdown, which made the score 24-14 and proved to be the game winning points. He also recovered a fumble and tied a career-best with four solo tackles.

Carnegie Mellon will host Brevard College in the 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Scotty Whitelaw Bowl Saturday, November 23. Kick is set for 1:00 p.m. on the turf at Gesling Stadium.
