Carnegie Mellon University second-year Head Football Coach Ryan Larsen has announced the Tartans 2023 recruiting class. The Tartans will welcome 34 newcomers that hail from 15 different states.

The Carnegie Mellon University football team had 10 student-athletes named to the 2023 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.

Carnegie Mellon University football head coach Ryan Larsen has announced the hiring of K.K. Rountree to the Tartans coaching staff. Rountree joins Coach Larsen’s staff as a full-time assistant coach who will be working primarily with the defensive backs.

Paul Davis is a sophomore environmental engineering major on the football team and hails from Columbia, South Carolina. Paul was recently asked to share thoughts on his collegiate football experience and life as a CMU student-athlete.

The Carnegie Mellon University football team landed 57 members on the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2022 semester. Of the 57, 25 maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA during the first semester.

Junior linebacker Robert Coury of the Carnegie Mellon University football team has been named a national finalist for the 2022 Cliff Harris Award, which is presented to the top small college defensive player in the nation. The finalist list was announced Tuesday afternoon.

The historic fall for the Carnegie Mellon Athletics Program got even better on Tuesday, as a program-record five football athletes were honored with selections to the 2022 Academic All-America football teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators. Three Tartans were named to the first team with two more selected to the second team.

Twenty-four Carnegie Mellon University student-athletes were named to a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for Division III, nominated by members of CSC, for the fall season. College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) rebranded to CSC in the summer of 2022.

The Carnegie Mellon University football team hosted DePauw University on Saturday in the opening round of the 2022 Division III NCAA Football Championship. The Tartans defeated the Tigers 45-14 to move onto the second round.
