Vasiliadis Receives Second Preseason Accolade, Named to Lindy’s All-Division III Team

(BIRMINGHAM, Ala.) – Junior running back Tre Vasiliadis (Great Falls, Va./Langley) of the Carnegie Mellon University football team was named to the second team of the 2022 All-Division III Team by Lindy's College Football Preview Magazine. It marks the Vasiliadis' second preseason accolade, as he was named a D3football.com Preseason All-American earlier this month.

In 2021, Vasiliadis led the PAC with 1,120 rushing yards and a 112.0 rushing yards per game average, which ranked 19th and 23rd, respectively, in Division III. His 16 rushing touchdowns and 102 points scored ranked second in the league and 13th nationally. He became the fifth player in Carnegie Mellon to rush for 1,000 yards in a season. In the Tartans' win at Geneva College he rushed for a career-best 268 yards, which ranks second most in a single-game for a Tartan.

Carnegie Mellon will open its 2022 season Friday, September 2, when Whitworth University travels to Pittsburgh from Spokane, Washington, for a 7:00 p.m. kick at Gesling Stadium.
