Henry Receives Second UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – For the second time this season, senior Seth Henry (Fulton, Md./Reservoir) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week. Henry led the Tartans to a 2-0 week including an 85-71 victory over Case Western Reserve University to open UAA play.

In the two contests, Henry averaged 19.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 84.2% (16-19) from the floor and 87.5% (7-8) from the foul line. In the win over CWRU, Henry led the way with his fourth double-double of the season, as he scored a game-best 25 points, after converting 10-of-13 from the floor, and grabbed 13 rebounds. He also recorded two assists and a career-best two blocks in the win over the Spartans. Earlier in the week in 18 minutes of action, the senior scored 14 points after going a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor in the Tartans' 90-84 overtime victory against Marymount.

Carnegie Mellon will continue UAA play when it hosts Brandeis University (8-4, 1-0) on Friday, January 11 at 8:00 p.m.
