Sax Honored as UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University senior Kevin Sax was honored as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week after leading the Tartans men's basketball team to a 98-90 double overtime win at Denison University. The honor is the first of the year for a Tartan.

Sax recorded his first double-double of the season and fifth of his career while leading the Tartans to a 3-0 mark to start the season. The senior led the Tartans with a career-high 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the floor. He also hauled down a career-best 14 rebounds.

The Tartans continue the season tonight with a road game against Oberlin College at 7:00 p.m.
