Tartans Hold a Second Spring Invitational

(VERONA, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team hosted a second spring invitational on Sunday at the par 70 Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania. The Tartans had five golfers compete all as individuals while Saint Vincent College won the seven-team event after carding a 307. Top individual medalist honors went to Andrew Sikorski from Heidelberg University after shooting a three-over par 73.

For a second straight day, senior Austin Lin (Los Gatos, Calif./Archbishop Mitty) carded a 76 to lead the Tartans. Freshman Henry Scavone (Birmingham, Mich./Birmingham Seaholm) followed Lin with a 78 while freshman Joshua Lim (San Francisco, Calif./Lowell) carded an 81.

Senior Adrian Berger (Los Angeles, Calif./Harvard-Westlake) fired an 83 while sophomore Trevor Arashiro (Honolulu, Hawaii/Iolani) ended play Sunday with an 84.

The Tartans will be back on the links Monday, April 1 when they compete in the two-day Wynlakes Intercollegiate at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama.
