Tartan Maintain Second as Play Heads to Final Round of Jekyll Island Collegiate
(JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team continued play at the second day of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Saturday. The Tartans carded a 281, tying the fourth lowest single-round team score in program history, and are currently second following the first 36 holes with 567 (286-281).

How it Happened:
- After recording a collegiate-low round of one-under par 71 to open play on Friday, freshman Andrew Wang topped it on Saturday by shooting a two-under par 70 and leads the Tartans with a 141 (71-70). He will head into the final round tied for sixth individually in a field of 150 golfers.
- Another Tartan carded a collegiate-best round as freshman David Zhang entered the clubhouse with a four-under par 68 and has a 36-hole score of 143 (75-68).
- Sophomore Justin Chan will also head into the final round with a 143 (70-73)
- Junior Brian Xu tied his collegiate-low round of two-under par 70 and has a two-round score of 146 (76-70).
- Graduate student Henry Scavone has a 147 (70-77)

- The final round will be held Sunday, March 20, with the first group teeing off at 8:00 a.m.
