Tartans Drop 2-0 Contest at Brandeis

(WALTHAM, Mass.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team traveled to Massachusetts to play University Athletic Association (UAA) foe Brandeis University on Saturday, October 5. The Judges defended their home field with a 2-0 victory. The Tartans are now 4-5-1 for the year while the Judges move to 6-2-3.

The first half was deadlocked at 0-0 with the Tartans putting two shots on goal and the Judges three on goal. A team save by the Judges in the 11th minute off a shot by sophomore Jason Edmunds (Libertyville, Ill. / Libertyville) kept the game scoreless early on.

Brandeis was able to score in the second minute of the second half when Elias Norris scored an unassisted goal. In the 52nd minute, the Judges added to their score with a goal by Max Breiter.

The Tartans had three shots on goal in the second period with another three off target.

Carnegie Mellon will next host New York University on Saturday, October 12 at 1:30 p.m.
