Former Ithaca College and Harvard University assistant coach James Sica will join the Carnegie Mellon University Swimming and Diving staff this August. Sica will serve as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving team opened the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon College with two events, the 1,650-yard freestyle and the 800-yard freestyle relay. The Tartans competed against DePauw University, Grove City College, Kenyon, and Johns Hopkins University from Division III institutions and Davidson College and University of Pennsylvania from Division I institutions.
