Tartans Place 16th at NCAA Championships

(GREENSBORO, N.C.) - With three more top 16 finishes by Carnegie Mellon University men's swimming and diving athletes, the Tartans close the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with 50 points for a 16th-place finish, the best finish since 2010 for the men's team.

Freshman Richard Dauksher (Fort Collins, Colo. / Fossil Ridge), freshman Judson Kyle (Austin, Texas / St. Stephen's Episcopal School) and sophomore Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va. / George Mason) earned All-America Honorable Mention with their respective finishes on Saturday when the meet concluded.

Dauksher placed 10th in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 15:39.65 while Britton placed 12th in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:48.53.

Kyle became just the second male diver to earn a top 16 finish on the 3-meter board at the national championships. His score of 473.90 placed him 11th overall.
