ITA Honors Men’s Tennis as All-Academic Team; Nine Named Scholar Athletes

The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team was honored for the 13th straight season and 20th time in the last 21 years by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as an ITA All-Academic Team. In addition, nine players were named ITA Scholar Athletes.

The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played 14th-ranked Brandeis University in the fifth-place match of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday morning in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans dropped a 5-3 decision to the Judges in the final dual match of the season for the Cardinal and Gray.

The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played NYU in the consolation semifinals of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Friday in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans defeated the Violets 6-0 and are now 6-11 on the season as the Violets move to 1-10.

The 22nd-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team opened University Athletic Association (UAA) play on Thursday at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida, and fell by the score of 6-1 to 11th-ranked Emory University. The Tartans record is now 5-11 while the Eagles move to 8-8.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team, ranked 22nd in the latest Division III ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings, hosted the nation's topped ranked team and University Athletic Association (UAA) foe Case Western Reserve University on Saturday afternoon. Due to inclement weather the match was moved indoors to the Alpha Tennis Center in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The Tartans fell 9-0 and are now 5-10 while the Spartans move to 19-3.

The 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played a close contest with 12th-ranked Johns Hopkins University on a neutral court at the University of Mary Washington on Sunday, April 3. The Blue Jays were able to get the win by a 5-4 decision after winning all three doubles matches. The Tartans are now 5-8 overall.

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s tennis team, ranked 17th in the latest Division III ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, traveled to the University of Mary Washington, ranked 22nd, for a Saturday afternoon match. The Eagles defended their home courts with an 8-1 victory to move the Tartans to 5-7 overall.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team returned to the courts at the USTA Campus for a match against Kenyon College on Tuesday, March 8. The Tartans topped the Lords, 5-2, after play was called due to rain to move to 5-4 overall and 3-0 against Division III opponents.
