#17 Tartans Drop 9-0 Contest to #14 Denison

(GRANVILLE, Ohio) - The 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team traveled to 14th-ranked Denison University for a Saturday afternoon match on March 26. The Tartans dropped the contest, 9-0, to the Big Red and are now 5-6 overall.

Sophomores Michael Fouchy (Fresno, Calif. / Clovis North) and Jaden D'Abreo (Portland, Ore. / Jesuit) fell 8-6 at second doubles while senior Sam Gibson (Chico, Calif. / Pleasant Valley) and junior Jonathan Nottingham (Philadelphia, Pa. / Masterman High School) played third doubles to the same score.

The Big Red then took a 4-0 lead with a victory at first singles and secured their match win at fourth singles with a 6-3, 6-4 win.

Sophomore Raahil Doshi (Singapore, Singapore / Anglo - Chinese School (Independent), Singapore) dropped his second singles match after falling 7-5 in the first set and 6-3 in the second.

The Tartans will next play at the University of Mary Washington on Saturday, April 2 at 11:00 a.m.
