Cross Country Teams Volunteer at World Vision Headquarters

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon men's and women's cross country teams made their mark in the community this fall, with a team outing to World Vision Headquarters in Pittsburgh.

The warehouse is a central receiving location for goods confiscated by the FBI and surplus merchandise from corporations. The Tartans volunteered their time to help repackage the goods and ship them to locations around the world according to various needs. During their time at the warehouse, the cross country teams worked to prepare footwear for shipment.

"We like to take on projects that require a lot of manpower and teamwork," said head coach Dario Donatelli. "The kids make a team competition of tasks we are given."
