Six Men's Cross Country Runners Garner All-Academic Honor from USTFCCCA

Six members of the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team were named to the All-Academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In addition, the Tartans earned all-academic team accolades sporting a 3.54 cumulative average.
Tartans Race to 11th Place at NCAA Championships

On a snowy day in Michigan, the Carnegie Mellon University men’s cross country team raced in the 2022 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country Championships held at Forest Akers in East Lansing. In its eighth straight appearance at the national meet, the Tartans placed 11th to record the best team finish since the 2007 team placed ninth.
Connelly Named Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year

Carnegie Mellon University head men's cross country coach Tim Connelly was named NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year for the 2022collegiate season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. It marks the fourth straight season Connelly has received the accolade and it comes following leading the ninth-ranked Tartans to their fourth consecutive regional title and seventh in school history.
Tartans Earn Fourth Straight Automatic Bid to NCAA Championships

By winning the 2022 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship this past Saturday, the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team automatically qualified for the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships which will be held at Forest Akers in Lansing, Michigan, on Saturday, November 19. It marks the Tartans’ eighth straight team appearance at the championships and 15th in the last 16 years.

Tartans Place Second At UAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team finished second at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 29 on the 8k course at Nash Battlefield Farm in Hampton, Georgia. Emory University hosted the meet and picked up the title with 48 points, as the Tartans finished with 64 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team, ranked 13th in Division III, won the brown race at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational on Friday in a field of 45 teams. The field for the 8k race was comprised of runners from Division I, II and III.
