Tartans Place Second at Annual CMU Invitational

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team hosted its annual Carnegie Mellon University Invitational on Saturday, October 8 in Schenley Park. The Tartans placed second out of 12 teams with a team of alumni placing fourth on the 8K course.

Results:

  • Senior Zachary Nowak led the Tartans with a time of 25:51.1 to place third overall.
  • Freshman Thomas Damiani was 14th overall and second for the Tartans in 26:24.8 with sophomore Seth Williams placing 16th in 26:36.3.
  • Senior Leland Davies crossed the finish line 21st in a time of 26:43.8.
  • The final Tartan to score for the Tartans was freshman Kenji Tella, as he placed 23rd in 26:53.4.
  • CMU Alumnus Josh Kalapos won the race in 25:49.9.
