Lisa Murphy Named to D3hoops.com All-Decade Team

Former Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball standout Lisa Murphy has recently been named to the D3hoops.com Second Women’s Basketball All-Decade Team. Murphy, who played for the Tartans from 2013-17, was selected as a third-team forward and was one of two players from the University Athletic Association (UAA) to be honored.

Filiere Receives Third All-UAA Women’s Basketball Recognition

Carnegie Mellon University women’s basketball senior Makayla Filiere (Chandler, Ariz. / Hamilton) was honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches this week when the Association announced the 2019-20 All-UAA Women’s Basketball Team. Filiere earned second-team recognition and her third straight honor.

It took two extra frames but the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team won its final regular season game by a 71-70 score against visiting Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, February 29. The Tartans finish the year with an 11-14 overall mark and a 4-10 record in the University Athletic Association (UAA). The Spartans finish the year at 10-15 and 5-9.
