Lam Wins Carnegie Mellon Women’s Golf Spring Invite

(VERONA, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team hosted its annual spring invitational on Thursday at the par 70 Longue Vue Club in Verona, Pennsylvania. The Tartans had seven golfers compete in the event with all golfers scoring as individuals.

Top individual medalist honors went to Tartan freshman Shanice Lam (Hong Kong, China/International Christian School) who shot an 85.

Freshmen Cristina Pullen (Brownsville, Texas/Veterans Memorial) carded an 86 with senior Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill.) firing an 87. Sophomore Sanchi Gupta (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) finished two strokes behind Hoskins with an 89.

Senior Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) fired a 91. Freshman Malina Rufo (Wellesley, Mass.) shot a 96 and senior Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) ended the round with a 111.

The Tartans return to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 7-8 as they host the Annual Carnegie Mellon Spring Shootout. The two-day event will be held at The Links at Spring Church in Apollo, Pennsylvania.
