Women's Golf Remains Tied for Fourth Following Second Round of 2022 NCAA Championship

(HOUSTON, Texas) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team maintained tied for fourth following the second round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship. The Tartans fired a team score of 307 on Wednesday on the par-72, 5,866-yard Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. The Cardinal and Gray currently have a 36-hole score of 610 (303-307) while Emory University leads the 29-yeam filed with a 588 (292-296).

Junior Alexis Sudjianto (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin School) continued to lead the Tartans on Wednesday, as she fired a two-over par 74 and has a 36-hole score of 146 (72-74). She is currently tied for fourth individually in a field of 151 golfers.

Freshman Sriya Mupparaju (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte) improved five strokes from her opening round a carded a three-over par 75 day two and is tied with senior Nadia Susanto (Irvine, Calif./Arnold O. Beckman) with a 36-hole score of 155. Susanto fired a 78 Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Denise Pan (Houston, Texas/St. John's School) will enter the third round with a 157 (76-81) while freshman Kaylin Yeoh (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) sits a stroke back of Pan with a 158 (78-80).

Third round play continues Thursday with the Tartans tee times are set to begin at 9:00 a.m. with Yeoh the first out. Following play Thursday, the field will be cut to 15 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete in the final day.
