Women's Golf Makes Cut at 2022 NCAA Championship

(HOUSTON, Texas) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play on Thursday with a 300 in the third round of the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship on the par-72, 5,866-yard Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. The Tartans now have a 54-hole score of 910 and currently are tied for fifth. Following play today, the field was cut to the top 15 teams and top six individuals not on one of those teams to compete the final day on Friday. Emory University holds the lead with a three-day score of 879.

Junior Alexis Sudjianto (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin School) carded a one-over par 73 on Thursday and is currently tied for sixth individually in a field of 151 golfers with a 54-hole score of 219 (72-74-73).

Freshman Sriya Mupparaju (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte) entered the clubhouse with a two-over par 74 and has a 229 (80-75-74). Sophomore Denise Pan (Houston, Texas/St. John's School) and senior Nadia Susanto (Irvine, Calif./Arnold O. Beckman) have a one-stroke difference following 54 holes of play. Pan has a 232 (76-81-75) and Susanto a 233 (77-78-78). Freshman Kaylin Yeoh (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) has a 238 (78-80-80).

The final round of play is set for Friday with Yeoh teeing off first for the Tartans at 8:20 a.m. CT.
