Bio

JD Fletcher joined the Carnegie Mellon University golf staff as an assistant coach in 2019.

In his first season, Fletcher contributed to the development of four All-UAA, three WGCA All-Great Lakes Region, and three All-American golfers. This includes the UAA Rookie and Golfer of the Year.

A graduate of Miami University in the spring of 2019, Fletcher obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sports Leadership and Management with a minor in Coaching. He was a four-year member of the men’s golf team where he competed in 11 events and one MAC Championship for the team while also was a Top 25 finisher at the 2017 Ohio Amateur.

During his time at Miami, Fletcher worked as a Division I Strength and Conditioning Intern and also completed an internship with Play Golf in College. Prior to Miami University he was a three-time division 1 OHSAA team state champion. His other accolades included 2014 Ohio Capital Conference (OCC) Player of the Year, three-time First Team All-OCC, two-time Second Team All-District and the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award Winner.

For the last five years Fletcher has worked as a Professional Caddy at the prestigious Muirfield Village Golf Club. Fletcher also has a strong playing background and recently placed at the West Penn Open after recording scores of 71, 73 and 79.

He currently resides in Fox Chapel and is the Assistant Golf Professional at Pittsburgh Field Club. At the Field Club he conducts lessons, fittings and clinics to the members using launch monitor technology such as Foresight GC Quad. Fletcher also runs the golf shop operations, outside operations and tournament operations for the facility.
