D3soccer.com Names Iatarola All-American

Sophomore Tori Iatarola (West Dundee, Ill./Loyola Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team earned her second national recognition when she was named to the D3soccer.com 2015 Women’s All-America team. This honor comes after Iatarola was named the fourth-ever NSCAA NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer All-American for Carnegie Mellon women’s soccer.

Liston, Struble Highlight ECAC DIII South All-Star Awards

Junior goalkeeper Katie Liston (Lakewood, Ohio/Montessori HS at University Circle) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women’s Soccer Division III South Defensive Player of the Year while head coach Yon Struble was voted the ECAC South Coach of the Year on Thursday, December 17 when the ECAC announced its 2015 Women’s Soccer All-Star Teams. The two are joined by three others on the team which was voted on by representatives from the region’s member institutions.
Iatarola Earns All-America Honor, Three Others Tabbed as All-Region

Sophomore Tori Iatarola (West Dundee, Ill./Loyola Academy) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team earned NSCAA NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer All-America honors, becoming the youngest field player and fourth ever in program history to be selected, as she was honored on the second team. Three of Iatarola’s teammates joined her with regional recognition for their play on the field this fall by being named to the NSCAA NCAA Division III Women’s All-Great Lakes Region team.
Quiros Named Women’s Soccer’s First CoSIDA Academic All-American

Carnegie Mellon University senior Carson Quiros (Atlanta, Ga./Whitefield Academy) has been named to the 2015 Academic All-America Division III Women’s Soccer team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The honor is the first for the program as eight have earned All-District honors.
Overtime Goal Cuts Season Short for No. 5 Tartans

The fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team's season came to an end Friday, November 20 when 20th-ranked Calvin College scored in overtime to defeat the Tartans, 1-0, in the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship's sectional semifinal. The Tartans finished the year with a 17-2-1 record.
Stritter Receives UAA Athlete of the Week Award

Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Sienna Stritter (Menlo Park, Calif./Menlo School) was named the University Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week after scoring three goals in the Tartans’ two NCAA Tournament wins this past weekend.
Women’s Soccer to Host NCAA Sectional for Third Time

The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team advanced to the sectional of the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship following its 1-0 overtime victory against SUNY Oneonta at home on Sunday, November 15 in the second round. The fifth-ranked Tartans have been selected to host the sectional which will begin on Friday, November 20 and conclude on Saturday, November 21.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team scored an overtime goal against SUNY Oneonta in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship on Sunday, November 15 at home in Pittsburgh, Pa., to defeat the Red Dragons, 1-0, and advance to next weekend's sectional. The Tartans improve to 17-1-1 on the year while the Red Dragons finished the year at 15-4-2.

The Tartans are now 16-1-1 on year which ties a school record of wins in a season.

Adams received the honor following her play in leading the Tartans to a 1-0 double-overtime win against Case Western Reserve University.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing as the Co-Champions of the University Athletic Association and holding a national ranking as high as three during the season. The Tartans have been selected to host the first and second rounds. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the fourth straight for the program who finished the regular season with a 15-1-1 overall mark.

Four second half goals propelled the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory in a key University Athletic Association (UAA) and nationally ranked matchup against the University of Chicago on Sunday, November 1. The victory gives the Tartans a 14-1-1 overall mark and a 5-1 Association mark while the Maroons fall to 12-5, 4-2.
