Adams Honored on NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Team

Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer junior Haili Adams (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) was recognized regionally for her play on the field this fall by being named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III Women’s All-Great Lakes Region team. Adams earns her second all-region award and was named to the second team once again.

The 17th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women’s soccer team suffered a defeat to Penn State Berks in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Championship on Saturday, November 12 by a 3-1 score. The result concludes the season for the Tartans who finish with an 11-6-1 record.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team received an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship after finishing second in the University Athletic Association. The appearance in the NCAA tournament marks the fifth straight for the program who finished the regular season with an 11-5-1 overall mark.

The win improves the Tartans’ record to 11-5-1 and 5-2 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Spartans fall to 6-8-4 and 0-5-2.

The Tartans are now 10-5-1 overall and 4-2 in the UAA as the Maroons fall to 15-2 and 4-2.

The Tartans are now 9-4-1 overall and 3-2 in the UAA while the Bears improved to 12-2-2 and 3-1-1.

Carnegie Mellon University junior women’s soccer player Tori Iatarola (West Dundee, Ill./Loyola Academy) has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District women’s soccer team. The district team is voted on by sports information directors in the state of Pennsylvania.

The 16th-ranked Tartans were unable to finish their opportunities and fell to the Golden Flyers, 1-0. The Tartans are now 9-4-1 on the year while Nazareth improves to 12-2-2.
