Sica Appointed Assistant Swimming and Diving Coach

Former Ithaca College and Harvard University assistant coach James Sica will join the Carnegie Mellon University Swimming and Diving staff this August. Sica will serve as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs.
Six Earn Scholar Recognition from CSCAA

Three Carnegie Mellon University women’s divers earned a spot at the NCAA Diving Regional to be held at SUNY Geneseo on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28. The top seven finishers on each board will move on to the national meet March 18-21.

Sophomore Gillian Crews (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly and the Tartans sit in 5th place heading into the final day.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, January 31 against the Panthers, California University of Pennsylvania, Clarion University and Duquesne University. The Tartans defeated CalPA 214-61 and Clarion 185.50-105.50 but fell to Pitt 234-60 and Duquesne 172-113.

Tartans Women Dominate in Wins Over Westminster and SUNY Geneseo

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team dominated in the pool Saturday, January 17 in a home double-dual meet with Westminster College and SUNY Geneseo. The Tartans defeated the Titans 240-60 and the Knights 161-139 by winning eight events and placing second in nine.
