Women’s Swimming Honored by CSCAA for Academics

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as five individuals were also named.
St. John and Kaku Finish Season at NCAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team had two representatives at the 2016 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships held in Greensboro, N.C. at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Sophomore Mary St. John (Bethesda, Md./Sidwell Friends School) was making her first appearance while junior Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) was there for the second time.
Four Earn Place at NCAA Championships

Four Carnegie Mellon University swimming and diving athletes will be competing at the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships Wednesday-Saturday, March 16-19 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Kaku Earns NCAA Championships Qualification at NCAA Regional Diving Meet

Junior Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team earned her second entrance to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with her finishes at the NCAA Region 4 Championships on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27. The regional diving event was hosted by SUNY Cortland.

Tartans Start Competition at UAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team started competition at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships with the women’s one-meter diving event on Wednesday, February 17 and five swimming events on Thursday, February 18. The team is currently in fifth place after six events.
Winget Leads Tartans at Pittsburgh Meet

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed at the University of Pittsburgh against the Panthers, Clarion University and California University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, January 30 in its last meet before the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.
Swimming and Diving Meet Versus Denison Cancelled

Saturday's men's and women's swimming & diving dual meet between Denison University and Carnegie Mellon University has been cancelled due to the recent snowfall that struck Western Pennsylvania overnight. The meet was scheduled to take place at Denison's Trumbull Aquatics Center at 1 p.m. The meet will not be rescheduled.
Kaku Earns ECAC South Diver of the Week

Carnegie Mellon University junior diver Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) was named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Diver of the Week for her accomplishments on Saturday during the Tartans’ meet at Westminster College.
Two More Wins Come at Westminster for Tartan Women

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team competed in its first meet of the semester and defeated Westminster College, 229-70, and SUNY Geneseo, 192-107, at Westminster on Saturday, January 16. The Tartans improve to 9-0 in dual meets for the season.
Kaku and Bamforth Receive UAA and ECAC Recognition

Carnegie Mellon University divers, junior Machika Kaku (Irvine, Calif./University) and freshman Gabriel Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS), were honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as divers of the week. Bamforth receives his second honor this season while Kaku is recognized for the first time.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team closed competition at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational on Saturday, December 5. The team finished third, surpassing Division I Davidson College on the final night.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team continued competition at the Kenyon College Total Performance Invitational on Friday, December 4. After two days, the Tartans are fourth out of six teams and are ahead of Johns Hopkins University and DePauw University.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team traveled to Kenyon College for the first day of the Total Performance Invitational on Thursday, December 3. The Tartans swam against Division I schools, Davidson College and University of Pennsylvania, and Division III schools, DePauw University, Kenyon, and Johns Hopkins University.
Bamforth and Li Honored by UAA

Carnegie Mellon University divers, freshman Gabriel Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS) and senior Winona Li (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton), were honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) as UAA Divers of the Week. Bamforth receives the honor for the first time in his career while Li is a repeat honoree from last week.
