Women's Swimming and Diving Honored by CSCAA for Academics

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as five individuals were also named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans.

All Four NCAA Swimmers Earn All-America Recognition

March 19, 2022

All four Carnegie Mellon University women's swimmers who competed at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships earned All-America Honorable Mention recognition by finishing in the top 16 of at least one event by the conclusion of the meet on Saturday, March 19. The Tartans finished 24th out of 45 schools that scored a point during the championships for their best finish since 2018.

The meet is being hosted at the IUPUI IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Four Women Earn Spots to Compete at NCAA Championships

Four Carnegie Mellon University women's swimmers have earned the right to compete at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Of the four women invited this year, two were invited in 2020 with the other two earning their first postseason selection; however, all four will be competing for the first time. The championships will be hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 16-19.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team began competition at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships on Wednesday with the women's 1-meter diving and continued on Thursday with the start of swimming events. The Tartans are currently in fifth place after the swimming events on Thursday with 269 points. The host, Emory University, leads the championships with 660 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University so men’s diving team hosted the CMU Diving Invitational on Friday, November 19 and Saturday, November 20. Sophomore Kelli Kuramoto (Los Altos, Calif. / Los Altos) set two pool records and two school records while winning both the  1-meter and 3-meter board events.
