Kuramoto Earns Second UAA Diver of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Sophomore Kelli Kuramoto (Los Altos, Calif. / Los Altos) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Diver of the Week for the second time this year after her performance during the Tartans dual meet at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, October 30.

At the dual meet, Kuramoto won the 1-meter event with 264.55 points after six dives. The score for Kuramoto is her first NCAA qualifying point total of the season on the 1-meter board. Kuramoto also finished the day with a first-place showing on the 3-meter board with a score of 257.55 which is a season-best score.

Kuramoto will have a week off before diving at the Tartans home meet on Saturday, November 13 against Washington and Lee University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
