(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team closed day three of the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships with two All-America Honorable Mention finishes at the IUPUI IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Juniors Bonnie Wang (Vancouver, BC / Collingwood School) and Tiffany Tseng (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy) each reached the finals of the 100-yard backstroke. Wang ended up at the top of the consolation heat with a ninth-place finish overall in 55.50, a new school record, as she passed her own mark set at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships this year. Tseng wasn't far behind at 55.91, a personal-best time, while finishing tied for 11th place.

The finishes put the Tartans on the board with 14.5 points with a day left in the competition.

Saturday's events will feature two of the best events for the Tartans in the 1,650-yard freestyle for senior Kierstyn Cassidy (Waynesville, Ohio / Waynesville) and the 200-yard backstroke for Wang, Tseng, and freshman Emma Hoffman (Ballston Spa, N.Y. / Ballston Spa).
