"We all really fed off each other's energy which really makes a difference in these matches, especially in our first one back in such a long time. I am really grateful to be out there playing again before I graduate and to do it with a team who has the drive to go out there and win and support each other. I am also thankful to all the athletics staff that made this possible and I know the team really is excited to continue playing."

In singles action, freshman Abigail Khieu (Potomac, Md. / Walt Whitman) recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles ahead of Qiang's 6-1, 6-2 win at fifth singles. Both went down as their first career singles victories.
