(ORLANDO, Fla.) – The 11th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team ended its spring break trip on Friday morning with an 8-1 victory over Haverford College. The win gives the Tartans an overall dual match record of 13-3 while going a perfect 5-0 while down south. The Fords are now 2-3 on the season.

Inside the Results:

  • The Fords took the first point of the match with a win at second doubles before the Tartans won at first and third to take a 2-1 advantage into singles.
  • The Tartans top tandem of junior Danna Taylor and sophomore Crystal Zhou won 8-6 while the first-year duo of Anna Chow and Divya Venkatarama won 8-5 at three doubles.
  • The Cardinal and Gray then swept singles, winning all in straight sets, as freshman Manuela Van Cotthem secured the victory for the Tartans with a 6-1, 6-2 decision at four singles.
