Four Tartan Women Compete at Gator Invitational

(MEADVILLE, Pa.) – In the last meet of the season for the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team, four athletes competed at the 6th Annual Gator Invitational hosted by Allegheny College.

Senior Ivana Moses (New Rochelle, N.Y./Phillips Exeter) finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 12.57 and also recorded a season-best jump in the long jump with a distance of 5.06 meters for fifth place.

Freshman Halley Bayer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) ran the 5,000-meter run alongside freshman Erin Kiekhaefer (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto). Bayer crossed the finish line fourth in 18:18.66 while Kiekhaefer was seventh in 18:33.23. Both times were season bests for the freshmen.

Freshman Hailey Brown (Wellsville, N.Y./Wellsville) completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase in sixth place n a time of 12:35.05.
