Tartans Rack Up USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award

The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the men's 2014 Division III All-Academic Track & Field Teams and Carnegie Mellon University was included on the list. A total of 158 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.1 or better.
Guevel Earns Second Academic All-District Honor

For the second straight season, Carnegie Mellon University senior Jacqueline Guevel (Dallas, Texas/The Hockaday School), a member of the women’s track and field team, has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team for women's cross country and track and field.
Three Tartans Elected to Prestigious Academic Honor Society

Three Tartans were inducted into Carnegie Mellon University’s chapter of Phi Beta Kappa earlier this month. Women's tennis player Katie Cecil, women’s track and field hurdler Kelsey Hallinen and men’s golfer Ian Bangor were selected to the nation's most prestigious undergraduate academic honor society.

Junior Sasha Spalding (Springhill, Fla./Sprinstead) broke her own school record while senior Sara Kelly (Madison, Wis./West) won the 3,000-meter run.
