Ciriello Garners UAA Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Rose Ciriello (Madison, N.J. / Madison) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's outdoor track and field team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week for field events following her performance at the Washington and Lee Track and Field Carnival over the weekend.

Ciriello won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.45 while was part of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed second with a time of 4:08.19. Her time in the 800 meters currently ranks tops in the UAA and seventh nationally while the 4x400 time is also tops in the UAA and ranks ninth in Division III.

The Tartans will next compete at home at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at Gesling Stadium.
