Senior right side hitter Ali Celentano (Mission Viejo, Calif./JSerra Catholic) of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was named to the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South All-Star Team as a first-team honoree. This marks her second straight appearance on the all-star team after being named a second-team member last season.

The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team hosted the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Region Championship Saturday, November 15. In the semifinals, the Tartans defeated Bethany College 3-1 to advance to the championship and took second after dropping 3-1 against Geneva College.

Freshman Heather Holton (Haslett, Mich.) of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team becomes the first Tartan to be named University Athletic Association (UAA) Volleyball Rookie of the Year as the Association announced its postseason accolades on Tuesday, November 11. Joining Holton with UAA honors are five other Tartans marking the most All-UAA selections in school history. It also marks the 17th straight season that the Tartans have had at least two members named to the All-UAA team.

After finishing fourth in the University Athletic Association Championship over the weekend, the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team with a record of 22-11, has been selected as the number one-seed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Southwest Region Tournament. The Tartans received a bye in the first round of the seven-team regional and will host the semifinals and finals on Saturday, November 15.
