Higgins Garners UAA Athlete of the Week Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Molly Higgins (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week. The honor comes following the her play at the UAA Championships over the weekend.
    
Higgins picked up a career-high 46 digs when the Tartans defeated the University of Chicago, 3-2, in the semifinals of the UAA Championship tournament. She led the team in the championship match against #8 Emory with 16 digs, as the Tartans fell 3-0 to the Eagles.

Carnegie Mellon will face DePauw University on Thursday, November 10 at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan at 5:30 p.m. in the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship.
