(CLEVELAND, Ohio) - The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team finished in fourth-place at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-20, 25-27, 27-25) setback to 20th-ranked University of Chicago. The 2021 Championship was held at Case Western Reserve University.
Senior Vivian Beaudoin (Washington, N.J. / Warren Hills) led the Tartans with 11 kills while junior Olivia Devereux (Manhattan Beach, Calif. / Marymount) ended with 10. Junior setter Stella Yan (Coppell, Texas / Coppell) dished out 40 assists.
Sophomore Laura Reichard (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico / Saint John's School) led the defense with 25 digs. Freshman Abby Chen (Fairfax, Va. / Oakton) recorded 20 digs and sophomore Mindee Lai (Belmont, Mass. / Belmont) tabbed 13.
The Tartans finish the regular season with a record of 14-14.
