Tartans Win Sixth Straight with 5-Set Match at Muskingum
(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team won its sixth straight match with a 3-2 victory at Muskingum University to improve to 13-3 for the year. The Muskies move to 12-4 after forcing a fifth set by winning sets three and four.

- Four Tartans recorded double-digits in kills with freshman Bella Woodard collecting a career-best 14 kills.
- Junior Jane Dean recorded her third match of the season with double-digit kills and moves above 100 kills for the season.
- Junior Laura Reichard followed with 11 kills to maintain her team lead in the category while sophomore Avani Seshiah collected 10 kills.
- The Tartans had nine total blocks with Dean picking up seven block assists for the second time this season.
- The Tartans had seven service aces as a team with junior Mindee Lai leading with five.
- Senior Stella Yan dished out 46 assists while putting down four kills to go with 16 digs.
- Reichard had a team-best 36 digs with sophomore Abby Chen recording 27. Three others pulled in double-digit digs.
Notes and Notables
- Seshiah recorded her second match with 10 kills, the other coming in a 3-2 win against sixth-ranked Emory.
- Lai's five service aces tie her career-high and she now has 24 for the season which leads the team.

- The Tartans will resume University Athletic Association (UAA) play on Sunday, October 16 with matches against Case Western Reserve University and the University of Chicago at the University of Rochester.
