Three Tartans Earn All-Academic Honor from USTFCCCA

(NEW ORLEANS, La.) – Three members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team were named to the All-Academic team by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In addition, the Tartans earned all-academic team accolades sporting a 3.40 cumulative average.

Juniors Emmalyn Lindsey (Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) and Abigail Levine (Bethesda, Md. / Bethesda Chevy Chase) along with sophomore Parvathi Meyyappan (Cupertino, Calif. / Monta Vista) were named All-Academic honorees.

The USTFCCCA All-Academic award honors those student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average and must have finished among the top 25 percent of the field at their respective NCAA regional meet.
