Tartans Celebrate 2023-24 Year at Annual Banquet

The Carnegie Mellon University Department of Athletics hosted its annual awards banquet on Wednesday, May 1 to celebrate the year and the accomplishments of the senior student-athletes. The event was hosted in Simmons Auditorium followed by a reception in the PNC Foundation Room located in the Tepper Quad.
Boucher Perseveres Through COVID Start to Lead Tartan Culture

Kiera Boucher is a senior mechanical engineering major and one of the top players on Carnegie Mellon University's softball team. She holds nine career records, four season records, and two game records. Some of those records include the single-season program record for runs scored (30), the single-season program record for RBIs (28), the single-season program record for stolen bases (21), and career records for hits (123), stolen bases (55), runs scored (91), sacrifice hits (13), triples (8), and home runs (8).
Tartans Reign as UAA Outdoor Champions Once Again

The Carnegie Mellon University men's track and field team are back-to-back University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Champions after finishing the second day of the championship meet with 218 points on Sunday, April 28. Emory University placed second with 180.50 points.

The Carnegie Mellon University softball team closed the season with a 5-1 victory against 10th-ranked Case Western Reserve University on Sunday, April 28 to finish the year with a 16-18 record and 9-11 University Athletic Association (UAA) mark. The Spartans are now 31-6 and 16-4 in the UAA.

The 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team finished fifth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Tennis Championship after defeating 30th-ranked Brandeis University, 5-3, on Sunday. The Tartans are now 13-6 while the Judges move to 10-9.

The Carnegie Mellon University men’s track and field team opened the University Athletic Association (UAA) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, April 27 by scoring 98 points through seven scored events on their home track and field at Gesling Stadium, and lead the field of seven teams.

The 15th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team played the University of Rochester in the consolation semifinal of the University Athletic Association (UAA) on Saturday at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans defeated the Yellowjackets 5-0 and are now 12-6 on the season while Rochester moves to 5-13.

The 27th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played New York University in the fifth-place match of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Saturday in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans won a thriller by the score of 5-4 and end the season with a mark of 8-10 while the NYU is now 4-10.

The Carnegie Mellon University softball team faced 10th-ranked Case Western Reserve University for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 27, falling in both games in five innings. The Spartans won game one, 12-3, and game two, 9-0. The Tartans are now 15-18 and 8-11 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) and the Spartans are 31-5 and 16-3.

The Carnegie Mellon University softball team played the first of four games at Case Western Reserve University on Friday, April 26. The Tartans lost the game to the Spartans 6-1. This put the Tartans at 15-16 overall and 8-9 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) while the Spartans at 29-5 overall and 14-3 in the UAA.

The 27th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis team played Brandeis University in the consolation semifinals of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Friday in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The Tartans defeated the Judges 5-2 and are now 7-10 on the season as the Judges move to 1-15.

The Tartans record is now 6-10 as the Bears move to 11-9.
