Men's Golf Finishes National Runner-Up at 2024 NCAA Championships

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team finished the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships on Friday as the national runner-up. The Tartans carded a team score of five-under par 283 on the final day and had a 72-hole score of 20-under par 1,132 (282-287-280-283).

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team carded an eight-under par 280 in the third round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships on Thursday in Boulder City, Nevada. The Tartans have a 54-hole score of 15-under par 849 (282-287-280) and currently hole a one-stroke lead in a field of 43 teams heading into the final round of play.

Rhee Wins Final Collegiate Race at All-Atlantic Regional, Barre Wins Heptathlon at North Central

The Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday and Thursday hosted by SUNY Cortland. Graduate student Liz Barre competed in the heptathlon at the North Central College Cardinal Combine on Monday and Tuesday.
Four Men’s Golfers Named PING All-Region

Four Carnegie Mellon University men's golfers have been recognized for their play on the course this season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Senior Brian Xu, junior Justin Chan, sophomore David Zhang and freshman Ryan Dannegger were named to the 2024 PING Region 5 team.
Four Tartans Earn UAA Tennis Awards

Four Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis players were honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches on Thursday with recognition on the 2024 UAA Women's Tennis All-Association Team. Senior Danna Taylor and junior Sarah Yang are repeat awardees while junior Zoe Angell and sophomore Divya Venkatarama receive their first awards.
Jangbahadur Named UAA Rookie of the Year; Four Others Receive UAA Honors

Five Carnegie Mellon University men's tennis players were honored by the University Athletic Association (UAA) coaches on Thursday with recognition on the 2024 UAA Men's Tennis All-Association Team with freshman Raghav Jangbahadur receiving UAA Men’s Tennis Rookie of the Year accolades. Joining Jangbahadur on the team is senior Nicholas Wernink, freshman Daniel Kong, senior Derek Wong, and sophomore Akshay Joshi.
Kathy McConnell-Miller Named Head Women's Basketball Coach at Carnegie Mellon University

Kathy McConnell-Miller has been named the new head coach of the Carnegie Mellon Women’s basketball program. McConnell-Miller, who has coached at the high school, college and professional levels, will assume leadership of the Tartans on May 31.
Tartans Make Cut at 2024 NCAA Championship

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday in Boulder City, Nevada. The Tartans carded a one-under par 287 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club and have a 36-hole score of 569 (282-287) which places the Cardinal and Gray fourth in a field of 43 teams which advances them to rounds three and four of the championship. Following play on Wednesday, the field was cut to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of those teams.
Rodgers Named Finalist for 2024 NCAA Division III Dave Williams Coach of the Year Award

Carnegie Melon University head men’s golf coach Dan Rodgers has been named a finalist for the 2024 Division III Dave Williams Award presented by Golf Pride Grips as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). This marks the second straight year that Rodgers has been named a finalist.
Tartans Open Play at 2024 NCAA Championship

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team opened play at the first round of the 2024 NCAA Division III Championships on Tuesday in Boulder City, Nevada. The Tartans played their opening round on the Legacy Golf Club course while carding a six-under par 282 and are currently tied for sixth. The Tartans tied for the best team score at the Legacy Golf Club on Tuesday with every team ahead of them playing at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Chan Named Finalist for Jack Nicklaus Award

Junior Justin Chan of the Carnegie Mellon University men’s golf team has been named by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as a finalist for the NCAA Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award. The Nicklaus Award recognizes the top players at the Division I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA levels.
Wang Named UAA Women’s Golf Rookie of the Year as Five Tartans Named All-UAA; Coaching Staff Honored

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team had five athletes honored by the University Athletic Association’s (UAA) coaches on the All-UAA team when the awards were announced. Headlining the squad for the Tartans is freshman Samantha Wang who was named UAA Rookie of the Year and also to the first team. Joining Wang on the to team are graduate student Alexis Sudjianto and junior sophomores Sriya Mupparaju. Junior Kaylin Yeoh and freshman Nikita Jadhav were named to the second team.

Senior Brian Xu, junior Justin Chan and sophomore David Zhang also received recognition by the coaches as First Team All-UAA selections.
Women’s Golf Receives Bid to NCAAs

The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team has been selected to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. This year’s championships will be held May 21-24, in in Nicholasville, Kentucky at the Keene Trace Golf Club. Transylvania University will be hosting the four-day event.
Jangbahadur Invited to NCAA Men's Individual Championships

Freshman Raghav Jangbahadur has been selected to play for the NCAA Division III Men's Individual Championships to be held at the Dwight Davis Memorial Tennis Center in St. Louis, Missouri, May 25-27. The championships are being hosted by Washington University in St. Louis.
