Tartans Win SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational
(GENESEO, N.Y.) – The Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team, ranked sixth in Division III, won the SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday in a field of 25 teams on the 8k course.

CMU 31, Lynchburg 50, Johns Hopkins 87, Geneseo 114, Washington and Lee 169

Results:
- All five Tartans that scored finished in the top nine in a field of 371 runners.
- Graduate student Matthew Porter led the Tartans as he crossed third overall with a time of 23:57.1.
- Sophomore Ryan Podnar placed fifth with a time of 24:04.8
- Jacob Hsu crossed in sixth to finish third for the Tartans in 24:07.9.
- With a time of 24:11.7, junior Colin McLaughlin was the fourth Tartan to finish and eighth overall.
- Junior Matthew Coyle rounded out the top five for Carnegie Mellon was in 24:12.8.
