Or Receives Third D3hoops.com All-Region Honor

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball junior Catherine Or received the third regional accolade of her career with a nod on the D3hoops.com Region 7 team. Or is one of 15 players on the D3hoops.com Region 7 team, earning a spot on the third team.

Or, who missed six games this year, including two in UAA play, closed the year with a scoring average of 15.9 points per game and 8.6 rebounds a game while recording her 1,000th career point. She was first in the league in rebounding for the second straight year and third in the league in scoring. Or took 42 trips to the free-throw line, missing just four for the season, to top her previous school record of 90.1% with a 90.5% showing.

Or scored in double digits in 16 of 19 games this year while recording seven double-doubles. She had a season-high of 28 points against Denison and reached the 20-point mark in five games. The junior point guard finished third in assists with 59 for a 3.1 per game average.

Or also repeated as a first-team University Athletic Association (UAA) honoree. Her selection to the team marked her third appointment to the All-Association team, as she was named to the second team in 2021-22. Or is the sixth player in program history to garner two first-team All-UAA honors.

Or joins 2017 graduate Lisa Murphy as the only three-time All-Region selection for the Tartans.
