The Tartans are now 11-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the UAA while the Eagles fall to 11-3-0 and 4-1.

Inside The Box Score

  • The Eagles scored first in the 11th minute when Grace Reyer was able to put a one-touch left-footed shot past senior Olivia Brand following a pass through the defense by Haley Barge.
  • Not even a minute later, junior Cecelia Dieterich picked up a ball with her back to the goal, turned and fired off a left-footed looping shot that got past Emory's keeper high and at the near post.
  • In the 14th minute, the Tartans took the lead when sophomore Maria Askounis found freshman Jenna Hallbeck streaking down the left side of the field. Hallbeck outran the defender with the ball at her foot and shifted to put a right-footed shot on frame to the back far corner for the one-goal advantage.
  • The Tartans had two more shots saved by Emma Miller of Emory in the first half while Brand also made a stop.
  • Neither team had a shot on goal in the second half until sophomore Gemma Jefferson added an insurance goal for the Tartans in the 80th minute.
  • Jefferson collected a pass from senior Camila Bodden in the midfield and fired a shot from open space that wasn't fully handled by the goalkeeper and skipped into the side net.
